Justin Peters – Store Manager – Qualified in Animates Management
Justin joined Animates in March 2008 and runs one of our most established stores within the group. Justin is one of our most experienced managers and he is passionate about retail. He has 3 cats and is also a keen fish keeper. His interests include anything to do with the culinary arts, tramping, fishing and socialising.

Fleur Almond – Store Manager – Qualified DBA
Fleur joined Animates October 2010 after an extensive retail background in New Zealand and the UK. Fleur has completed the Dog Behaviour training, Stockroom management training. She is also qualified through the Animates Management Training and so delivers great leadership on the Animates floor every day. Fleur has a multitude of pets including Lottie the 1 eyed Staffordshire Terrier Cross, 5 sheep, 4 hens and 2 Fish tanks – 1 Cold & 1 Tropical just for variety.

Beckie Millar – Stockroom Manager – Qualified Pet Consultant and Stockroom Manager
Beckie joined Animates in February 2009 as a Pet Consultant after moving to New Zealand from the UK. The next step for Beckie was the Stockroom Manager role. With her extensive background in the pet industry Beckie has had a great time within the Animates business including helping assist in new store set ups. She has many pets including Ginge the cat, Solo and Leia the finches, a large tropical fish tank, of course Sadie the family's Huntaway Cross. She even has a small tank on her desk at work!

Claire Harvey – Pet consultant – Qualified DBA and PNA
Clare joined Animates in September 2010. Claire's passion for animals was one of the major draw cards in her wanting to work for the company and was also instrumental in her being selected to complete our Dog Behaviour Advisor and Pet Nutritional Advisor training. Clare is an Auckland local who has traveled extensively overseas. Claire's pets include a Cockatiel named Roxanne, Kune Kune pigs Miss Pig Pig and Nugget, her Cats Bagel the Bengal, Chester and Zinne, the Roosters Rodger and Ross and several fish tanks.

Andrew Gerrie – Pet Consultant – HOD Aquatic
Andrew has worked for Animates since November 2003. Andrew was born and bred in Auckland and is a married father of two. He has had a keen interest in all things aquatic since his late teens and currently breeds whiptail catfish. Andrew has many pets including cats and a 200L community fish tank with tetras and whiptails.

Jasmine Sinden – Pet Consultant – Qualified PNA
Jasmine joined Animates in February 2011 and is one of our newest recruits. She was born and bred in Auckland and spent 5 years living on Waiheke Island where she completed her secondary schooling. On completion of her studies, Jasmine spent time working at a vet clinic and was attracted to the role at Animates as she wanted to pursue the customer service aspect of retail while still working with animals.
