Finding the best fit for your dog
Like the clothes we wear, not all sizing is equal, and it can be confusing to know what size to choose - and it’s the same for our furry friends. Measuring your dog will ensure that any jumper or coat will correctly fit your dog’s body.
How do I measure my dog?
Most dog jumper or coat brands have sizing indicators on their tags but the best way to measure your dog is from their collar to the base of their tail while your dog is sitting or standing. The length size measurement is an indicator of size for most dog clothing and will usually provide the most accurate sizing results.

How to take care of your garments
![]() |
Garment washingMost pet garments can be washed in the washing machine on a gentle lukewarm wash. Line dry your garment and do not tumble dry. For wool items, we recommend handwashing the garment using a good quality wool detergent and allowing it to dry away from direct sunlight. |

Re-waxing oilskin productsOver time, oilskin products will need to be re-waxed to restore lustre and waterproofing. With a soft sponge and some lukewarm water, gently wipe down the garment. Using a dry sponge, apply wax gently in a semicircle motion until the garment has been re-waxed evenly all over. |

Velcro careRegularly cleaning Velcro on dog coats is important to maintain the closure of the Velcro. WitUse an old toothbrush to remove any hair or lint and keep the straps closed as much as possible, including when washing the dog coat. |
