Keep your puppy parasite free

An important part of keeping your puppy comfortable and healthy is staying one step ahead of fleas and worms.

Puppies are at risk of picking up these little critters year round, which are associated with a number of potential health risks such as, dermatitis from fleas, abdominal pain, weight loss and diarrhoea from worms.

Must-haves to help keep fleas & parasites at bay: A topical or oral treatment for fleas that is suitable for your dog’s size, weight, and breed. Flea shampoo, if your puppy is scratching a lot. A flea bomb or vacuum powder for your house. An oral worm treatment suitable for your dog’s size, weight, and breed.

Stay one hop ahead of fleas & parasites. Have a flea programme in place Put a regular flea treatment appointment in your calendar. Watch for signs of fleas Your pup may be scratching or grooming a lot more than normal and you may see the fleas or flea dirt in their coat. You may also notice flea bites on yourself.
