Hold and lock is ExcellentGreat dog leash. This is our third canine over 25 years and this leash is awesome. Well made. The release and hold mechanism has never jammed and the 8mtre length allows the dog freedom to sniff the other sign while I'm out walking/ running without slowing my exercise.
