Short description
Live Waxmoth Larvae 50-pack
Life cycle; egg - larva (= waxmoth larva, caterpillar) - pupa (in a silk cocoon) - adult moth
Maintain at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Always replace the mesh liner carefully, with no folds at the edges, as they will get out of they don't. We recommend actually storing the container in the terrarium with the animal so if they do get out, they will not get wasted.

Waxmoth produce their own metabolic heat so the pots are always warm, especially underneath. You can extend their shelf life by storing at the lower end of the ideal storage temperature if possible.
Waxmoth are expensive to produce as they're grown on a special diet. They normally live in run-down, warm beehives as a pest where they eat beeswax. They are noy a problem in healthy hives as the bees 'manually' remove them. They are the top shelf of live food as they have a balanced protein/fat ratio, are soft bodied and therefore palatable to pretty mch all animals; drogs, newts, reptiles, fish, birds and mammals. Their only down side is their ability to escape, so proper replacement of the gauze liner is imperative.

The Karaka tree is a large tree with glossy, dark green leaves, that can be found throughout New Zealand, predominantly in the North Island. These berries are loved by Kereru, however they are highly toxic to dogs.
Here’s how to protect your dog from Karaka Berry toxicity and the signs of poisoning to watch out for:
Potentially toxic algae (also called Cyanobacteria) can make animals extremely sick when ingested. Knowing what to look for when visiting lakes, ponds and rivers is the best way to keep your dog safe.
